"Alibis" we don't need

I was just listening to "Talking out of Turn" by the Moody Blues (still am for another minute or so, in fact), and I heard the "alibi" line (buy the cd and listen to the song if you want to hear it). Well, it got me to thinking: I hate the use of the word "alibi" as a rhyming word, when it makes absolute nonsense of the context. I love the rest of the song, but it almost ruins it for me to hear... that line. I can't even put it down here, I hate it so much. Same with that "Big Girls Don't Cry" song, except that song would still be asinine without the offending misuse of "alibi." So I guess they're not really all that alike. But you get my point.
